Our Story

The story of

glasshead studio

Lisa Renée Falk attended San José State University where she pursued her passion for glassblowing. She earned her degree in 2002 with a Bachelor of Arts Cum Laude with an emphasis in Glass and Textiles. In 2001, while a student at SJSU, Lisa Renée created a wearable dress to be worn at the Glass Fashion Show during the Glass Art Society conference at the Corning Museum of Glass in Corning, NY. The dress was fabricated by fusing glass discs that were incased in fiber screening and embroidered into individual pockets. The technique of combining fused glass and screening was continued on more outfits that were created for the Wearable Glass Art Fashion Show that Lisa Renée organized during the California Glass Exchange in 2002 at San Jose State University.

In 2016, Lisa Renée returned to the Corning Museum of Glass for another GAS conference and Glass Fashion Show with two new wearable glass creations: Citrus Goddess and Zebra Corset.

Lisa Renée co-founded infuse glass studio located in the historic Japantown district in downtown San Jose with Trace Galbraith. Together they offered classes and workshops for offsite team building events, birthday parties and private classes.

Recently, Lisa Renée relocated to the Central Coast to be closer to family. She has brought with her many years of experience in art and design, and working with various materials. She is excited to share her energy and knowledge in her new endeavor glasshead studio.
